Ijahman Levi (nacido Trevor Sutherland en Christiana, Manchester, Jamaica ) el 21 de junio 1946 el es un cantante de musica reggae. Su primer álbum, Haile I Hymn , fue lanzado por Island Records en 1978. Se convirtió en Ijahman Levi después de una conversión religiosa al movimiento Rastafari , cuando estaba en la cárcel entre 1972 y 1974. y las 3 siguientes grabaciones predicó el movimiento Rastafari con la doctrina de las Doce tribus de Israel.

• Biografía

En 1966 y 1969 lanzó dos singles en el Reino Unido bajo el nombre de "the youth". La primera fue en 1966 para Polydor 56121 "as long as there is love" c / w "your one and only man", ambas covers de Jimmy Ruffin y Otis Redding . Ellos fueron cortados en un estilo mod soul R & B . Su segundo single fue para Deram 226, lanzado el 17 de enero de 1969, y "meadow of my love" c / w "Love Me or Leave Me". El lado B fue escrito por el mismo, que se le atribuye a "Sutherland".
